re: Shutting Down EchoFeed
Almost a week ago Robb Knight announced he will be shutting down EchoFeed. I don't know if you've heard about his service, but what it does is simple: given a feed, be it in RSS, Atom or JSON, once it is updated, that information is sent to one (or many) of the following services: Mastodon, Bluesky, Micro.blog, Linkding and some other more, and that serves as an announcement of what has changed — actually, an echo of your last post.
I know I haven't been writing too frequently this year (due to a series of personal matters I actually won't be detailing), but from the last 5 or 6 days I have been preparing a (shy? tentative?) comeback and it was my surprise to read his announcement. That was a nice little app, EchoFeed.
I just wanted to shout out to Robb. I reached to him many months ago, when asking about the EchoFeed subscription, and whether it would be possible to give me any discount (as I live in a country with a depressed currency). He was super helpful and comprehensive, and I'm really thankful for his attitude.
I guess I just wanted to say thanks to you, Robb. And to wish you all the best in any new ideas you come up with. Best of luck!
