Week 50, 2024
I have spent the whole week taking my wife to her physiotherapy sessions. Counting the first one she went to last week, it came up to 6 sessions so far, out of the 10 the doctor initially prescribed her. I haven't…

Week 49, 2024
My vacations started last Monday, and as usual they made me remember that Sheryl Crow's song which says “ all I wanna do is have a little fun before I die ”. I was ready to have a little fun catching up with my late…

Week 48, 2024
It has been quite a while since I wrote my last weeknotes. It was partly a forced hiatus : I'm about to leave on vacations this next Monday, and these last weeks have been filled with many activities — some the usual…

Week 45, 2024
I'm feeling completely worn out while writing these notes today , as yesterday I went to São Paulo to attend to a professional appointment, along with many company colleagues. Going to São Paulo means I have to wake up…

We have finally watched Inside Out 2, after its release on Disney+. I have to say that I was looking forwards to watching this sequence, partly because it had been very hyped, of course, but also because being a fan of…

Week 40, 2024
In professional terms, this week was one of the best in the year. For starters, I had one particularly significant talk with my boss, who helped me overcome some roadblocks I was facing with trying to implement an…

Week 39, 2024
Think of any activity you might do together with your kids for fun and I'm sure you'd never think of disassembling and reassembling a computer together (ok, to be fair, I wouldn't have that as my first, top of the head…

Week 37, 2024
I have to start this week's notes saying that Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers has proven to be an amazing game — for me, of that kind that you play and forget about time completely. Now, I'm not a heavy gamer, but in a…

Week 36, 2024
As I have recently bought myself an iPhone 15, I decided to redeem the three free months of Apple TV+ offer that comes with it. Admittedly, I did it less than one week prior to its expiration date: I wasn't going to…

Week 35, 2024
It's been a whole 10 weeks since I wrote my last weeknotes. In case you don't know, I had been sick, with fever, a sore throat and, to make matters worse, I spent more than two weeks without any voice — to the point of…

Week 25, 2024
And this week will enter my personal history as “ the week when I became completely aphonic ”. Due to a mix of bacterial sinusitis and cold, I felt my voice progressively losing its strength, to the point where, last…

Week 24, 2024
The aftermath of exchanging my iPhone XS Max for a newer, iPhone 15, was very good for my youngest son , who got to keep my wife's iPhone. Me and her had the same iPhone model, so he got her XS Max while she also took an…

This week I kept experimenting with LangoTalk and its AI chatbots, as it has shown to be a nice addition to my learning resources. I have consistently used LangoTalk, now for over a week straight, chatting with its…

Week 22, 2024
My son thankfully recovered from his last week's influenza, which was causing him so much trouble. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said — yet — about me. My week started with a lot of coughing, a very strong…

Week 21, 2024
I love languages and how both my sons seem to have inherited part of this taste of mine for them. This week I saw my youngest son call his brother right after knowing that a friend of his, in Japan, played the same games…

Week 20, 2024
So I lost my personal weeknotes streak by not writing a post like this last week. 😱 Since I started recording weeknotes, this was the first time it happened, and on the one hand, it made me feel strange because it broke…

Week 18, 2024
After an achy week past, I finally went again to the dentist to have my gum stitches removed. It was so much of a relief to do it! My gum surgery was a needed step in the treatment I'm taking, but sometimes I wish steps…

A couple of grateful surprises happened at work this week, and I'd like to register them both here. First, I was asked to help with building a Sharepoint intranet site for the department one of my former managers is…
